Photoshop CS.

Conan: photos of various bodybuilders, photos of Schwarzenegger as Conan, photos of Conan's sword, and some looking at myself in a mirror (no, not for the muscles) used for reference.

Background: mostly no references used, but bits and pieces from a couple of photos used for inspiration.


-I actually started making this piece in the hopes that I perhaps could use it in an application for a position as a concept/graphics-artist at Funcom. The Conan motif was chosen because they're making the game 'Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures'.

I had some help (in the form of constructive criticism during the development of this piece) from artists over at the conceptart.org forums. The finished result is OK for most people I think, but probably not good enough for professional use(?).

-I hope you like this piece though of course, and I must confess that I'm still quite happy with the end result, even though I'm not going to try and use it in an effort to get a job.
